December 21, 2007 I worked my last day at my corporate job. Goodbye cube. Goodbye safety and security, hello voluntary unemployment. I left in hopes of finding something more "me”. This blog (I call it Mlog because I don't love the word blog and it's more like "my log") chronicles my misadventures and time away from the workforce in my pursuit of my something different.
"Risk! Risk anything! Care no more for the opinion of others, for those voices. Do the hardest thing on earth for you. Act for yourself. Face the truth." (Katherine Mansfield)
Kohls- the department store. How on earth do they even make money? They almost pay YOU to buy something there. Everything is on super sale and it seems by just taking it to the register you qualify for another 20%. I just don’t get it. (J. Meyer)
"If you wish to achieve worthwhile things in your personal and career life, you must become a worthwhile person in your own self-development." (Brian Tracy)
"The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences." (Eleanor Roosevelt)
"If you don't make mistakes, you're not working on hard enough problems. And that's a big mistake." (Frank Wilczek)
" Things turn out best for people who make the best of the way things turn out. " (John Wooden)
"I want it when I want it and I don't want it when I don't want it. Matt usually does it alone anyway." (J. Meyer to the Petersons)
